P1 · Incompleteness is legal
The validator checks shape: the column set, the spelling of closed values, no merged cells. The
calculator checks completeness, refuses, and names the row and file.
basis is already absent on 6 of 13 files, and two rows are blank on purpose so
that they would fail. People are using an error as a comment.
P2 · Split type into kind and scale
kind is activity, materials area or service station, and it is asked
of every record. scale, mini or mega make, is asked only where the kind
is an activity.
type is filled on 1 of 13, and three records explain in writing that the
vocabulary does not fit them.
P3 · takeaway is an arithmetic input
What a child leaves with decides the basis, so it needs a field. It is a different question from
whether one of iOi's own reusable objects comes back, which is settled and belongs to the event.
Two of the three deliberately blank basis values name this question as the reason
they are blank.
P4 · day_note does not belong on an activity
It is on 56 rows across two activity files, and the materials template already assigns it to the
event. Where it goes instead is an event question.
Sensory Wall now carries "collect from their shed on arrival", true of one venue
on one day. At the second delivery the record is wrong in a way nobody looks for.
P5 · group earns a column
Two CSVs invented it and a third render hard-codes the same information, because the file has
nowhere for it. The rule to amend: a column exists if the calculator or a render reads it.
Three files solving one problem three ways, with two different grouping schemes
serving two different purposes.
P6 · state on every record
One word, named, written or delivered. The project rule that a record
written before its first delivery is a proposal becomes checkable rather than tonal.
Five records spend a paragraph saying where they stand, in five phrasings. The
two best-filled records are the two that have been delivered.
P7 · What the venue must provide
Fill requires with power and space: none or a count of sockets; a
table, a table and a run of floor, or a structure that occupies a room. It also holds a dependency on
kit iOi does not own.
Power is raised in prose by four records; floor and space are raised as
unanswered questions by three. Neither has a field.
P8 · Safety takes two shapes
The three lines stay as the floor. A hazard table, with hazard, who it reaches and what we do, is
added where a hazard needs a mitigation.
Makey Makey Sound already writes the second shape unprompted, with four hazards.
It is the one record with a genuinely dangerous element.
P9 · Material tags come from the CSV
Derive them. Keep hand-written tags for characteristics such as no power and
fine motor.
About 45 of the 70 tags are item names copied from a materials file, and one has
already drifted: glue gun against glue guns.
