Safety

Children
AdultsDrill, chompsaws, glue guns, rotary tool. Facilitators, and volunteers who have been inducted on the tool.
First aid
Adult supervision at all times, and clear separation from where children work unsupervised.
Volunteers use the tools, once inducted on them. The gate is the induction, not the role. It is separate from the safeguarding rule and does not touch it: a volunteer with a drill is still a volunteer who may not hold a station on their own. Induction is per tool, and glue guns appear on the Junk Modelling and Wind Tunnel lists too, so it follows the tool around the room.

Questions for you

1 · What does the tool area do for the other stations?

It has no prep list and no method. Whether children bring work to it, or a facilitator carries work over, decides whether it needs a queue and how it is laid out.

2 · How many of each tool travel?

No quantity is written for any of the four, and three of them also sit on the Junk Modelling list, so they could be counted twice.
